Overview
As a Senior VFX Artist at Studios Ground Zero, you'll play a key role in crafting high-quality real-time visual effects that elevate gameplay and storytelling. You'll work closely with our art, design, and tech teams to bring powerful moments to life while helping shape our visual standards and pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality real-time VFX for gameplay, cinematics, and in-engine events.
- Own full effect creation from concept to implementation and polish.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to define and achieve the desired visual impact.
- Optimize effects for performance without compromising quality.
- Mentor junior artists and contribute to the growth of the VFX team.
- Participate in pipeline improvement and tool development for VFX workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Artist, with a strong real-time portfolio.
- Expertise in Unreal Engine (Niagara) and material/shader basics.
- Strong sense of timing, composition, color, and motion.
- Experience shipping on at least one game or real-time project.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Houdini, EmberGen, or similar tools.
- Scripting skills (Python, HLSL, or Blueprint).
- Knowledge of performance profiling and debug tools.
- Passion for games, cinematic experiences, and cutting-edge tech.
