Disciples: Liberation is a turn-based, dark-fantasy RPG. Combat plays out on an isometric board where every spell has to read at a glance. The real-time ability and spell VFX for that combat were built by an SGZ team member — individual experience acquired before Studios Ground Zero, not an SGZ client engagement.
Magma strikes, titan stomps and ground-shatter: each effect is tuned for silhouette, colour and weight, so the player always knows exactly what just landed, and on whom.
Everything below is captured in-engine, the way it plays.

Each ability reads instantly on an isometric board: silhouette, colour and timing first.
Magma strikes and titan stomps tuned to land with real weight on the battlefield.
Effects built to perform in-game, across PC and console.
“In a renown IP such as Disciples, VFX is the seam that makes the spells and magic lives within the universe.”
